Celebrations at The Stamp Man

I have a number of birthdays coming up so need to get a wiggle on and get cards made. This was the ideal opportunity to do just that and it is one of those that just seemed to come together so well. Even though I say it myself, I really like this card, and it does look better irl.

I think what made this was the partial colouring in of the flourish. I used Caran D'Ache aquarelle pencils but didn't use the water on them.

Collage style cards have to be my favourite, so I hope you like too.

Come and join the celebrations at The Stamp Man this fortnight and be in with a chance to win a £10 voucher for the on-line store, generously given by Jill (Mrs Stamp Man herself).

Supplies -
Tim Holtz - Shabby French stamp set
Sizzix Book cover 2 embossing folder
Downloaded butterfly
Vintage ribbon
Computer generated sentiment
Lace, button, burlap

Hope your Friday and weekend have started well.

Enjoy yourself and take care.

Hi Brenda

this card is wonderful. I love the flourish and how it is coloured. sorry i haven't been in touch. Life just seems hectic at the moment. I have been so busy with making samples running classes, just finished a wedding and school work too!. At least we broke up on Monday so I will have a bit more time. Can you believe on Monday it was a year since my daughter got married! Where does the time go? I am sure you must be enjoying your "retirement". I will try (!) to keep in touch more frequently.

Enjoy the sunshine

Big hugs Sarah x

Brenda
What a stunning card you have created.
One of my all time favourite themes is dressmaking but that aside, this is a beautifully executed card.

I do love a collage, and I really love this! Those flourishes are utterly lovely, and I love the torn music/paper/ribbon detail across the middle. Gorgeous Kraft background, great images - just wonderful! Tried to leave a lovely comment over at your PanPastel published card, but it seems to want me to be on Facebook to do it... I await their response to my question about it!!

Ooooh, this is a beauty, Brenda! I love the soft coloring on the flourishes and how they pull the eye around to every last element. Love it!
