Making Memories frame for DecoArt Mixed Media DT and Craft Stamper news

I have a project  on the DecoArt Mixed media Design Team blog today and it is my second piece for this amazing team. I have chosen to go all girly and create a mosaic frame with some rusted and timeworn trinkets. Here is a sneak peek of the colours and some crackle to entice you over to see all the details and photos..... click the link above to find it.

.... and this is one of the trinkets I added to the frame.

I hope you can find a minute or two to spare to pop over and take a look and I would be very grateful if you would leave a comment over there.

I also want to share my first Craft Stamper project which is on the front cover of this month's issue - woo hoo how exciting is that? It's such a surreal feeling to see your own art work displayed like this and I am one very proud and excited lady right now. Just waiting for my copy to arrive which hopefully should be today so I can see what it looks like on the inside too. There's a tutorial for the background using DecoArt mediums and media paints and I was specifically asked by the DecoArt team to be their representative for this edition, so a double whammy for me. If you get a copy of the magazine please let me know what you think.

I hope your week is going well. I am catching up from the most wonderful and amazing California holiday shared with all the family for 17 days staying with friends and catching up with some of their family too.

Maddie, Tom, Ken, me, Ben, Bev with Ella and Maddison in the front.

Thanks for stopping by.

hugs Brenda xxx

Glad you had a lovely holiday Brenda and I'm sorry to have not visited in an age too. This is entirely due to work pressures and not enought me time which I hope will be better now I have a new job.

Hi Brenda! I have lots of catching up to do, but the bits and pieces I have seen over the few months have been amazing. Congratulations all the way around on your artful talents! Wish we could have seen each other this year in CA, but it looks like you had just a fine time with family and friends. We were at our house for one night gathering up the last of our belongings until 1 AM and left the next morning early! Hope you are having a great finish to summer! Big Hugs!

Brenda, what a pleasure it is to visit your blog today and hear and see the amazing news! You are on FIRE! Wow, what a well deserved honor for you to have your working displayed on the cover of this wonderful magazine! And then to have DecoArt have you respresent them with your tutorial--they know a great thing when they see it! Well done! Your cover project looks mouthwatering! Wish I could see it in person!

The little sample of crackled pink has me on the edge of my seat--I will be clicking on that link just as soon as I finish here. I actually do have about 15-30 minutes of blog time this afternoon, so I will be doing my visiting with you and your lovely work today!

I so enjoyed seeing the photos of your family and friends on our side of the pond. From the looks of it, it was a happy trip and you had great (hot?) weather. Big hugs!
