PanPastels - Summer Time

At PanPastel UK challenge blog this week we want to see your summertime creations. I have made a  'Summer at Dusk' card using PanPastels and Distress inks.

I layered the PPs to create my landscape background using torn card and a punched circle to give me the defining lines between each section. I then inked my stamp with embossing ink and laid PPs over to give me the depth to the flowers, next I stamped with different DIs to dive me the flowers in the foreground.

Lastly I used my TH water brush and DIs to paint in some flowers and leaves finishing off with some tiny stamps to fill in the gaps.

I am quite pleased with the look of this sunset - even though my husband told me it looked as if there was a forest fire in the distance LOL.

If you join us this week you will stand a chance of winning a fabulous et of PanPastels from our great sponsor at Your Creativity Store. Have fun with summer colours/images and link to the challenge so we can come visit you.

FSC - Nature

Another Sunday and another fortnight has slipped past and we are looking for nature inspired projects for our next challenge at FSC.

I have made a piece for my glue-book this week, quite simple and a quote that I love.

The backing piece is embossed using a vine folder and I gently blended peeled paint DI over the raised parts.

The flowers were cut from a piece of designer paper and edged with walnut stain and then I stamped the bird and butterfly using Stampin' Ups Nature Walk set and the nest is a B Line Designs stamp.

The quote is computer generated.

We would love you to show us your nature projects over the next fortnight, all we ask is you use rubber or clear stamps.

Have fun and see you soon.
