Spring Flowers at A Vintage Journey

What better with these lighter evenings and the weather warning up than to think of all the lovely Spring flowers that are now in bloom and it’s thanks to the lovely Jennie for this challenge at A Vintage Journey.
P1160873
I’m still using the Wallflower stash and have used it for the gorgeous patterned background together with some Tim Holtz ephemera which I think are from the Thrift Shop set.
P1160853P1160855P1160860
I also used the lovely papers to cut the sentiment label from a spellbinders die and used the hashtag stamps.
P1160861
The gorgeous trellis frameworks die was cut from some textured bazill paper and the clock is from another of Tim’s paper packs..
P1160858
I used the tattered florals garland die with some smooth cartridge paper and distress paints to make and colour the flowers and leaves.
P1160865P1160869
The numbers are also cut from Tim’s papers, I just cut and keep bits like this in a small box so I can add them to projects when they fit in. can you also see the tiny eggs?
P1160874
I hope you will join us at A Vintage Journey – you don’t have to use Tim’s products to join in, just use a vintage/shabby/mixed-media/journaling style and tell us what it is of Tim’s that has inspired you, for me this time round my Tim inspiration is his products, but it could be one of his projects, tags or techniques another time.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today. Have a great weekend.

hugs Brenda xx

Brenda, love your card. I like how you've used Tim's products to create a lovely soft look. Proves that it's not all about grunge (although grunge is good!). Jean.x

Beautiful card, Brenda, with so much detail. Wishing you and your family a lovely Easter. No flowers here yet, but my tulips are popping through, so finally a bit of green.

For me Brenda, your design work on this make is beyond compare. Just right! I only wish someone could say that this is learned but I do think that some people just have a knack for good design work and that's what makes this piece so special! Great design.

I always wish so badly that I had the time to enter this challenge. I think I would have heaps and heaps of paper fun. Right from the time I was a really little girl I used to collect pretty pieces of paper and napkins and serviettes and cut them up and stick 'em on my school composition books etc. I didnt know why I loved it so much then. Imagine how stoked I was when I discovered there were people all over the world with the same quirky obsession as myself! Love looking at your blog always.
