April Tim Tag

Yay I’ve got my Tim tag for this month done in plenty of time.
P1160895
I followed Tim’s process pretty much to a T except I used rusty hinge distress paint with walnut stain distress ink for the background …..
P1160906
…. and I added three flowers with antique linen distress glitter..
P1160903
I just adore the trellis framework die and I coloured mine in broken china adding different inserts like Tim showed us including a hessian one. (Top tip here - lightly spread some wet glue over the hessian you want to die cut to make it stiff so that it doesn't fall to pieces when you die-cut it. My favourite general wet glue is Evo-Stik wood adhesive from B&Q, it dries clear and is very strong).
P1160883
The mottled effect of the spritzed distress ink over the distress paint is fabulous.
P1160905
With rusty hinge and broken china distress inks for the ribbon and a philosophy tag with antique linen paint to colour in the words, it's finished - oh apart from some coloured twine and string through the tag hole..
P1160899
I have to say I really loved making this tag and going back to the pinecone die to make the roses.
Have you made yours yet?

hugs Brenda xx

This is a lovely colour combo on a gorgeous tag Brenda, rusty hinge must go on my list of colours to add to my distress inks. Your glitter looks great on the flowers and I am glad to see you added another flower...2 just didn't look right did it...I ended up with 5! Can't wait for some inky play next week..not long now xx

Beautiful tag Brenda. I have seen it during the day. I thought to try to make one! That will be the first one. I am not confident with paints but I have recently bought TH papers so I thought to have a go. I am now just trying to make the roses. I have this die for a long time but I was only using the twigs. Have a nice evening! Joanna
