Give-Away

Before I get to the nitty gritty of this post I am so excited and would love to know who else is going to the Tim Holtz workshop at Coventry in August. I got a morning place (woo hoo) – so an early start for me unless anyone else is travelling Wednesday and staying over Wednesday night? In which case I might do the same.

So to the real focus of this post. I just can’t believe I have tipped over the 500 Followers mark and written 750 posts, that’s in just over three years of blogging.
So to celebrate and to say a huge ‘Thank You’ to those of you who follow my creative journey, here's a little Give-Away and this time it’s something I have made especially for the occasion. Not much I know, but I actually really like this little hand bound book and wished I had thought of something different to give lol. No doubt I will find something else to add to it before it gets sent out. I would also like to enter this into the Simon Says Stamp and Show 'Anything Goes' challenge,
P1130598
I am calling it a Bundle Book, you’ll see why in a few photos time.
P1130599
As I undo the tie to reveal the style of inking it includes.
P1130602
With odd size pages inked and stamped and a piece of inked and crumpled glassine at the front.
P1130603
It includes various types of light cream card and watercolour paper with some kraft included as well bundled together – hence the name.
P1130600
Each page inked and stamped with a different design but all the same style.
P1130595
Even a mask included at one point.
P1130597
The stamps are a Rubber Stampede bee seal and the text is Penny Black letter background.
P1130591
I brushed, dipped, dribbled and splattered the inks to achieve the looks I wanted.
P1130592
The colours used are tea dye, vintage photo and walnut stain.
P1130601
The inside of the covers are reinforced with some wood that has been sanded, dipped in inks and stamped to fit in with the overall design.
P1130612
One on the inside front and one on the inside back covers. These prevent the tie from damaging the covers and cutting into them.
P1130606
So it’s available to whoever Random Org picks from the people who might like to leave a link below. The linky will close on Wed 24th July and only those who follow will be eligible for the draw. Thank you again for your support, your encouragement, your inspiration and your continued companionship and friendship, who would have thought three years ago I would have ‘met’ so many new people and made so many new friends. You really are the most kind, considerate and caring people there are in the world.

God bless.

hugs {brenda} x0x

What a lovely handmade book it's beautiful! Have a great time with Tim, sadly I couldn't make it as much as I would have loved to have been there, worth the early start I think. Enjoy!

I cannot believe I nearly missed your Giveaway, sorry Brenda, such is life at the present.
A beautiful book. Since my childhood I have had an obsession with any form of notebooks/Journals so if they are deemed too pretty then I cannot write/draw in them I just like to have them there in my life.
A beautiful creation, very inspiring.
Thank you for this opportunity.
