MAWTT challenge 65 - 'To Do List'

Hey it's Thursday and I only have 2 days before I am off to Swanage with my Mum. It also means that it's another challenge for MAWTT and I am hosting again.

I don't know about you but I live my life with 'To Do' lists, especially at the moment with packing. Trouble is they just get longer and longer and I don't seem to cross much off. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to play with a list today.
The sponsor for the challenge this week is Meljen's Designs. They have a long list of goodies for you to buy so it may be worth you popping over to have a look see what they do.

So the challenge for this week is to cross at least THREE things off my list and put them on your card/project, now doesn't that sound like a bit of fun? Here is my list of 8, so there should only be 5 left once you've finished.
1. Two different patterned papers
2. A button (or more)3. Glitter
4. A key
5. A vintage image
6. Some leaves
7. A new technique
8. Embossing (heat or dry)

I have also provided an optional, simple sketch for anyone wishing to use it.

So here is my contribution.

I seem to be challenging myself at the moment to make anything and everything into a vintage style card, and here we go again. I have used 2 patterned papers, glitter and leaves from my list and I used my sketch. The image is from Meljen's Designs and is called Love Birds.

I just love these cute little love birds and decided I woild make them blue(ish)birds as well.

Please pop over to the main MAWTT blog to see what my team mates have created, they have really produced some stunning work.

I promised I would think about some Blog Candy just for my followers. My numbers are creeping up so here is an opportunity for you to get yourself some surprise goodies to play with. I have tried something new on this card and I will make up a surprise goodie bag when I get back from Swanage for a blog candy prize. This will be for the first follower who guesses correctly what it is that I have done that is new. Leave me a message with your answer and I will announce the winner on the 3rd October. Have fun guessing. Please note that this is for followers only.

I shall be in touch while I am away as I will take my laptop with me and the flat has wifi. Poor Ken has to stay at home on his own with a poorly shoulder as he had an op on it on Monday. I am sure he will survive and be better off with me out of his hair for a few days. He can laze around and not worry about it - he he.

Take care. Luv B xxxx

Wonderful card Brenda. I love the distressing around the birds. Do I see a new nestability die which you have embossed?. I love the way you have followed the die cut leaves through from the stamped image branch, is this a new idea of yours?.A truly lovely creation.

Hi Brenda, what a beautiful card, I nearly missed seeing this one.. Your game seems so fun and I love that sketch too. Have fun with your mum in Swanage, you must be so looking forward to that. I've had a deeper look at your card and I think your new technique is those letters stuck on the paper, or is that the paper coming like that :| anyway it is, it looks gorgeous. Hugs xxx

Hi Brenda, I will try another guess, but otherwise I have no idea. Have you used perfect pearls to colour the image? It seems to have a shine to it, especially the white.
