The new Tim Holtz stamping platform

I recently had the new Stamping Platform by Tim Holtz delivered and at last I've had a chance to have a play with it.

I just took some left over inked backgrounds out of my scrap box and cut this to size.

I put it in the stamp platform and took out the Victorian stamp set (again unused and waiting to be inked up) and laid out the stamps where I would like them on the background .......

....... laid the top down to pick up the stamps, inked them and stamped them.

The ink wasn't as dark as I would have liked so I was able to repeat the process to darken it ......

I used watercolours to paint the images .....

..... and then used the stamp platform again to add the sentiment.

I just inked the edges and added it to the card to finish.

Now I am out of the boot and beginning to get the strength back in my ankle and leg I need to get up the Pack House to see what needs to be added to my items for sale, I though this might make a good start.

Thanks for stopping by.

hugs Brenda xxx

Beautiful work with the stamping platform, this platform stands on my wish list but I am stamping with the MIsti and I wouldn't like to miss it, it's so easy when you need a second print on the same place, when your inks are not so wet or new anymore, I really am glad with this invention!!

Have fun and a nice weekend!!

What is not there to discover and marvel at! "Stamping platform " sounds great!
Of course you didn't need this as such an old hand - stamping master - but sounds good to have it!
Happy weekend

I just got Tim's platform - have a Misti but liked the idea of being able to use rubber stamps with it - haven't tried it yet! Your vintage birthday card is lovely Brenda with it's beautiful background and nice watercoloring! Julia xx

This is really pretty Brenda, and I'm so glad you're out of the boot! Although I'm not a 'gadgety' person I wouldn't be without Tim's platform, it's brilliant for stamping on watercolour card. Have a fun (and active) week xx

It's a charming vintage card - and how lovely to get some ink on those stamps for the first time. I've also been starting to appreciate the uses of the stamp platform - especially for stamping over textured surfaces - so great to be able to get that second shot at a sharp image. I'm sure there's lots more to discover... but it does require clearing space on the craft table when I want to use it!

Gorgeous! Brenda . Love my SP . Having poor upper body strength it enables me to use so many more of my stamps , especially those with large black areas as I just stamp and restamp to achieve a deep black image.
