Grungy Notebook Covers

These grungy notebook covers have been made Andy Skinner style using his mega crackle technique. I made them for a workshop I taught recently.

Front and back covers are cut from greyboard and the spine was made of dry wall tape ....

... the layered rusty greyboard and card cogs were given both textured and flat rusting techniques ....

... as was the on the edge die ....

I was able to attend Andy's Mixology retreat last November where he made something similar and I wanted to recreate it with supplies of my own but still using the decoart media paints that are such a staple part of my creative diet.

Here are two of the books finished by workshop attendees-

Joan and ....

Jane of Jane's Journal.

I hope you have a good week.

We had such a great time didn't we Brenda. This was an awesome workshop and the mega crackle is such a fab technique as was the rusting. The texture really feel like old leather...my Hb actually thought that's what we had used! Thanks for sharing your amazing creativity.See you soon. Enjoy the sunshine xxx
