Finding Mr Mojo – Day 3

Hi and welcome to another of my Tim's tags for 2012 re-visited. Before I move on though I would like to welcome new visitors who have joined me in the last few weeks and thank you everyone who visits here regularly encouraging me in the work I do. You really give me the motivation to extend my artistic endeavours and make it so much more worthwhile.

This tag uses the reflections stamps on an embossing folder and reflects the techniques used in Tim’s tag for April.
P1130944
The small movers and shapers dress form has been inked with tattered rose and frayed burlap and the corresponding distress embossing powders heated over the top.
P1130945
It’s finished off with rock candy stickles and some watch parts. The wings and crown were covered with whitefire treasure gold and buffed up when dry.
P1130940
Here's the tag before being embellished.
P1130947
The base of the card with the sentiment band and some filmstrip.

Still waiting for Mr Mojo to turn up but in the meantime I am having fun with the tags.

I hope your weekend is going well.
Take care.

I too think Ms. Mojo Imagination is with you already. You're one of the artists I always look forward to visiting. I love the colors you used because they are my favorite.

The tag on your other page was stunning. It was the beach/summer tag

You have Tim Holtz down flat. Your Tim Holtz tags could stand up against his any day and twice on Sunday.

I do have a question for you. I'm not always familiar with some of the products you use, for example what you used on the wings. Is it easy to acquire?

Have a great weekend with Ms. Mojo, and while you're at it ask her to send mine to Longview, Washington USA

Kateri, the wings are charms I bought from Ebay. I seek out different metal bits and pieces to use that are not available through the normal companies.

Hi Brenda. Lovely tag, and I know I must get into the groove to try some of the different techniques you use. I'm coming over there towards the end of September, but I'm too far away for a visit this time. Heading to Leicester, where I have family, and Norwich to a resort. I won't be driving, and it is too far to impose on family. Maybe next time I will be closer. Let me know if you hear of any craft goings on, in those areas late Sept or early Oct. This trip will be so different!

Wow Brenda! Love your tag! I always remember your kindness when we first met in blogland and how you sent me die cuts of mannequins everytime I see one! Your beautiful card sits on my shelf where I craft and not a day goes by when I am home that I don't admire the design work in it. My heart has been so happy for you to see how your life is unfolding and blossoming through your art over the pat several years. If Mr. Mojo left, he's just on Holiday! Take care my friend. I sense huge things on the horizon for you! Hugs, Yvonne

Oh Brenda, another stunning make! I love the idea to use some of Tim's old techniques to get you mojo back, though I am thinking he's well and truly back if your latest pieces are anything to go by! (From where I am sitting, he was never really gone, but I also know that you have to be the judge of that, it's what we feel inside much more than what we produce I think.)The coming week I know is going to be a very exciting one for you, so hopefully that will help... (I will be back at work :o( ) but not long now til next weekend, - can't wait!!

Dear Brenda, you have created quite gorgeous work during my absence. One creation is more beautiful than the other.
My daughter and I spent a week in London. It was already the 5th time that I visit this fascinating city. We had a lot of fun and have discovered much news.
I wish you a nice rest of the weekend, my friend.
Hugs MARTINA

This is a wonderful tag Brenda and all I would say is, so long as you are having fun then do not worry too much that Mr Mojo is taking an extended holiday.
When those times hit me that is when I get rusty or I delve into my baths for staining (not literally!) or prepare sheets of watercolour that can otherwise absorb too much time when in the middle of creating.

I luuuuuuuuuuurvvvvv this tag - it appeals to both my love for grunge and mayhem and soft femininity (I hate trying to spell that word - lets hope I got it right!), kudos to you for getting the reflections on the embossing folders nailed!!! I eventually gave my reflections stamps away cos I could nver get them right.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today as well - you are so sweet and faithful at that - I had only just put it up as well! Plus you always leave such nice comments. I love it when you come by. You also were the first to comment so accept 10 big karma points from me!

Your embossing is wonderful - you used a stamp for the writing underneath the embossing? love the yellow color and the dress form has enough parts that she is ready to fly. I am assuming she is royal because of her crown. And she holds a key too - the key to the crown jewels?
