I am really late posting this today, so sorry but I thought I had written and scheduled this to go before I went on holiday and in fact I hadn't duh!!!!
This is my second piece for the 'How does your garden grow' challenge at CVC and was made to complement the first one (found HERE) with different colours but as an extended tag and the same backing card.
Here you can see the background before I added the elements to it.
The background was made with distress paints - don't you just love them and their properties? I used the technique Tim used on his April tag with a bit more wrinkle free distress to it.
This stamp is from the Classics #1 set and here I used distress markers and picket fence distress paints to achieve the mottled effects on the pear and the dry-brushing around the edges.
The dragonfly was pained with distress paints too and you get some great results with them, they adhere so easily to the metal.
Here I used the TH banners and rosette dies, the bee again was given the same treatment as the dragonfly.
It's fabulous coming to see your amazing makes submitted for the challenge this month. If you haven't yet entered, please do, in fact enter as many times as you like with separate projects (linked to the theme of course) and you could be the lucky winner of the £20 shop voucher for Country View Crafts (don't forget it's free P&P as well as excellently priced products) and you could also be chosen in our TOP 3 and be a guest designer.
I had a great day with my Sis today, she is helping me find a way to make videos, technical stuff I don't understand, so now I've got to get a tripod and practice, but I hate the sound of my own voice so I can see it's gonna be a problem.
If you have seen my blog showing strange things in your blog reader or blog roll, don't worry I have been setting up Live Writer and it's had to do a quick post and delete it again to import my blog. Mind you all the blogs in my blog rolls have disappeared today so I've got some work to do there to put them all back.
Enjoy your evening (or rest of the day Terry).

Completely in love with this tag, Brenda! The elements are all delicious, and beautifully laid out on that fab background (lovely to see them all ready to go on!)...
Sounds like lots of exciting developments afoot - good luck with the videos!

Hello Brenda
Wow, just love this Tag as I did your first, I did wonder what the funny numbers were all about. I don't like the sound of my voice on a video either, plus I have a real Welsh accent, so no-one would understand what I would be saying half the time!!!! Ha. I am sure your voice is great and I will look forward to the videos.
Smiles:)
Sue
This is gorgeous, Brenda, i love everything about it!
Now, why would you not like your voice! Your voice is lovely, you are lovely to listen to and to look at and you are a great educator. A video from you would be wonderful, in fact I was going to suggest to you it would be a great direction for you to go in. So kind of Chris to give you some technical help,

Brenda this tag looks wonderful and I love the painted metal embellishments. Your day sounds like its been a very technical one, look forward to your videos, I also think nobody likes the sound of their own voice but to everyone else it is fine.

I really love this tag and I was hoping for a how to! I will have to watch the Tim Holtz's video for the Distress Paint Tutorial. I am struggling a bit with these.
I do so hope you will do video tutorials - I will be first in the queue to watch!!

Oh stunning tag Brenday! Great to see the background before you added all the other things too. It looks fantastic already just by it self. But with all the other bits added to it it adds up to a real stunner! Love the treatment of the dragonfly and bee!!

So wonderful, a great tag with fabulous elements.
Woooow, fabulous tag, really, and so beautiful !!! Happy holidays, Coco x
Love your beautiful painty background Brenda. I have to confess I only own one distress paint but have a drawer full (and more!) of DecoArt paints so it's hard to justify buying anymore. I have been tempted by the Fresco paints along the way though!
I do love this stamp but have been waiting for ages to use it.
Love all your added bits and pieces too, especially that lovely dragonfly.
Hugs, Juliaxx
Wonderful tag Brenda...love your bee and dragonfly...can't wait for your video's...and if you dislike your own voice does not imply we dislike it too!!!
Have a great weekend!

You make everything look so wonderful and easy but there's always a lot of thought which goes into a project beforehand. Choosing the right elements, where to place them etc. You are a Master my dear! xx
Blame it on Ken for being late! After all it was his last minute idea to travel across the country! What a glorious tag and so many yummy details! I love that pear and the dragonfly is beyond awesome! Have a happy weekend! Hugs!

So many things to love here Brenda. My favourites include the way you have created the pear panel and the altered insects. Hugs, Jenny x
Such a stunning tag and a brilliant partner to the first, simply gorgeous. The colouring of the pear is stunning and the combination of the images and embellishments has resulted in a beautiful tag. Chris xxx
Oh it's gorgeous, Brenda. Love all these components (and thanks for sharing that photo of all the parts) and how you have layered them. The bee/rosette is fab!
Fab!!! Do love this image & the fab torn edges, everything works so well together!! Hugs Juls xxx
