Tuesday Treasures

Hi to all and welcome to Tuesday Treasures. This is my little piece of blogland to show you what I treasure most this week and hope that you will join me in showing and sharing yours too.

This week I have a gorgeous shadow box to share. This is not one of my own, but a wonderful present given to me by Lucy at True Colours. Lucy has had a very difficult year and is in a new home awaiting her own one to be completed and remodelled following the most terrible flood earlier in the year. This saga has had an effect on Lucy's motivation and mojo for crafting, but she is certainly back on the road to creating the most wonderful pieces. Lucy this is just delightful, so please carry on experimenting and making brilliant pieces to share with us all.

You can see from the photos the wonderful techniques and materials she has used and the fabulous effects she achieves and this is even more beautiful and even better looking IRL.

So having shown you my Treasure for this week what have you got to share? Please link it below for all to see and I will certainly be over to take a peek.

I hope you have the most wonderful week and my thoughts and prayers are with my lovely FSC DT sister Lynne who is having a difficult time at the moment. Just to let you know you have my love and positive thoughts.

What do I have to do to receive such a treasure? Oh you lucky lucky person to have such a generous friend, to part with this amazing creation, I can imagine you were very humbled and Wowed when you saw the beautiful work that has been put into this shadow box.
The butterfly is a real stunner.

Brenda - this is fabulous. I read of the terrible flood problems Lucy had, and know that she lives not too far away. Could you please pass my best wishes on to her and hopes that all turns out well for her return into her home.

Hi Brenda,

I can see why you love this shadow box. I'd say Lucy is back to creating lovely pieces of art.

Floods are terrible; my condo was flooded only months after I bought it. Luckily it wasn't bad (just the downstairs) and it didn't get into the walls. Thinking of your friend, hoping her home gets back to normal real soon.

Hugs,
Kay

Hi Brenda...I think Lucy is a very talented crafter, using great design and colour. She is lucky to have you there to keep her treasures and be a true support. When she gets going again - watch out, she might just come back with a vengeance and twice as much passion!

I would never have guessed Lucy had lost her crafting motivation as this is beautiful, vintage but also colourful at the same time.
Thank you for your support and please know how much it means to me.
