Toby in a bag

Good morning it's Thursday and that means it's a new challenge over at Moving Along With The Times. There is a lovely sketch for you to follow from Heidi and a theme of animals. The DT were sent two digi stamps from  Crafty Sentiments to use this week and 'Flopsy in the rain' will be the prize for the lucky winner. I believe they are only being released on the 17th July, so come and try your luck with the challenge to see if you can be one of the first to get them. Crafty Sentiments are a small company own and run by Suzette. They offer clear stamps and now have digital images on their website.

Toby in a bag was my choice for this week, but pop along to the MAWTT challenge site and see the wonderful creations from the DT.

I used this gorgeous little basket and rabbit as my inspiration for the colour scheme. These were a present from a very sweet American girl, Megan, who is the grandaughter of some very good friends of ours, from Orange County in California. They came to stay with us for 3 weeks last year and brought me these for my birthday. Now my grandaughters have great fun with them. The rabbit plays a song and his ears go up and down, this has fascinated them both and they dance to it, especially when they are putting on a 'show'. The basket usually has little toys in that they play with.

I have coloured Toby using promarkers (see list below). The two DPs are both from Brenda Walton packs at K&Company. I have edged all the papers and image with shabby shutters and pumice stone DIs. I used cotton candy stickles on the image, star dust on the pink mount and frosted lace on the 2 DPs. The butterflies are a MS punch, edged with pumice stone and frosted lace stickles.  I put two little white self adhesive gems on the body. You can also see the butterfly trail on the card where I added glitter with the quickie glue pen.

Promarkers used -
blossom, pink carnation (ears, nose, basket)
pastel pink, dusky pink, ivory (the rabbit)
yellow, buttercup, tulip yellow, (basket and flower)
meadow, leaf, green (basket and leaves)
duck egg, cyan, magenta (basket)
orchid, (basket)
warm grey, amethyst, soft green (butterfly)
pastel blue (outline)

Hope it's been a good week for you so far. I am nearly at the end of term and my school visits, so then I hopefully will have more time to design and create.

Take care. Luv B xxxx

PS Just a heads up, I am hosting the challenge over at MAWTT next week and I have a sketch and a theme for you. If you want to be thinking about it, think pastel colours and think vintage/shabby chic. That will get you going - hope to see you there.
