Grungy Notebook Covers


These grungy notebook covers have been made Andy Skinner style using his mega crackle technique. I made them for a workshop I taught recently.


Front and back covers are cut from greyboard and the spine was made of dry wall tape ....



... the layered rusty greyboard and card cogs were given both textured and flat rusting techniques ....


... as was the on the edge die ....


 I was able to attend Andy's Mixology retreat last November where he made something similar and I wanted to recreate it with supplies of my own but still using the decoart media paints that are such a staple part of my creative diet.

  2. We had such a great time didn't we Brenda. This was an awesome workshop and the mega crackle is such a fab technique as was the rusting.   18. Fabulous grungy notebook covers! It must have been a wonderful class, and I'm keeping my eyes and ears open for when you come across the pond (to the east side of the US), because I'm sure I would love to learn your techniques! Gorgeous rust! Hugs!
