This tag for Crafty Individuals is another collage tag this time using the Chunky Vintage Car Tag (CI 405) which is one of the newest arrivals at the CI shop. I have displayed it along with (CI-408) Ornamental Wishes, which is also a brand new image released very recently.
The image was stamped in Watering Can and watercoloured with evergreen bough, bundled sage, black soot, pumice stone and frayed burlap distress inks.
The Wishes image was first stamped with antique linen distress paint, when dry it was dipped in the above distress inks and then blended over with evergreen bough and iced spruce DI. The sentiment didn’t show up as much as I wanted so I went over it with white posca pen.
The black background tag was stamped with a CI swirl stamp in embossing ink and covered with clear EP and heated. When cool I brayered evergreen bough and antique linen distress paints over and dried. Then I stamped another new release – Medieval Manuscript (CI – 406) in picket fence distress paint and again heat dried it. This gave the background a more mottled effect than I was expecting, but I love it anyway.
I gathered some CI tickets to use as ephemera to join the images together.
The backing paper is a My Mind’s Eye lost and found 12 x 12 paper cut down to DL size.
So that’s the second tag made into a card with the new stamps from CI. They are gorgeous vintage designs., do pop over and take a look.
I hope your week is going well.
