September Tim tag

This is my second post for today and I just want to get this tag finished and entered into the Tim Holtz tag for September post. If you missed my Tag Friday post for A Vintage Journey this morning you can find it here.

I just loved Tim's tag from the very first moment I saw it with all the amazing techniques and effects he has created. I have also been watching so many fabulous versions of it emerge throughout the month and have been waiting for a chance to spend some time on it. Really I should have been prepping for my workshop tomorrow when doing this but hey ho I will just have to work longer tonight to get it all ready, I am just so please I have managed to get it done.

No details because you can find all the instructions and details photos from Tim on his blog HERE.

The colours I used were - salty ocean, walnut stain, pine needles and tarnished brass.

The metal pieces were painted with the distress paints and when dry I added metallic lustres to brighten them a bit.

Just a few embellishments as I wanted the alcohol ink resist technique to shine through and as you can see I got the sewing machine out too.

Thanks Tim for some amazing remix inspiration again this month and fabulous techniques.

Can't you always just amaze yourself when you follow Tim's teaching?

If you haven't see it I have a Tim Give Away going till next week, details are on my side bar. Don't miss out as it is easy to be in with a chance to win.

Right off to get that prepping done.

Have a fabulous Friday and a great weekend. I am looking forward to being at Country View Crafts tomorrow teaching my Autumn Frame and Halloween Shrine.

Take care.

hugs Brenda xxxx

  25. Woohoo! I'm so glad you procrastinated your workshop preptime to produce this amazing tag. Love the cars as the focal image and I really adore the paint on your embellishments. I saw this at the end of the last week and meant to get by before now. However, I'm glad I waited so I could come by and say congrats on the win. What a great take on Tim's September tag!! -- ME
