Destination the world

With the die-cut letters spelling 'destination' left over from making my AVJ challenge sample I set about using it and a few other bits that were on my desk or waiting in a box to be used.

I started with a piece of card that had been gessoed and stamped for another project that never made it off the starting board, but waste not want not as they say. In fact I think it worked quite well for this particular tag.

I collected elements to use, in fact I die-cut the globe three times from off cuts of card already made and used for other projects, the same with the aeroplane.

The ring fastener and word disc were given a coat of alcohol ink and treasure gold inspired by Alisons destination inspiration post at AVJ.

I also felt I needed something else to layer up so took a kraft mini tag from a box, inked and dipped it in walnut stain and stamped with one of Tim's texture stamps using picket fence distress paint.
The outer part of the globe was cut from a piece given the foil industrial treatment.

This fits in nicely with the July challenge at A Vintage Journey and it would be lovely to see you over there with your destination/travel projects.

Thanks for sharing in my artistic journey.
