Second set of pages with Finnabair

I posted my projects from the amazing Finnabair workshops last week, which you can find Here, but I only got one set of the journal pages completed at the time but I have now finished the second set (and the third set will be on their way soon).

Based on strips and splatters this one was great fun, very simple, but oh so effective to get fabulous colours into a layout.

I think there is a story behind this photo and thanks to Jools for bringing it to the workshop. This young man is part of consortium of local builders, being a carriage and sleigh maker ……

… it looks as though he may be thinking of changing direction to become a stair maker.

I wonder if that is just a pipedream?

Can you see I just loved playing with bright colours for a change?

I hope you are having a good weekend. I am at the Stamp Attic for a couple of days with Jo Firth Young playing with her stamps and fresco finish paints.

Take care.

  4. The pages are wonderful Brenda, colourful but subtle all at the same time, love that photo of the young man too. I feel inspired to get my journal out and do something - and that takes some doing - lol. Have fun with JFY and her gorgeous stamps too. Hugs, Anne x

  5. These pages look fabulous Brenda. I only managed to get as far as laying some strips down in class but finally got round to giving them the stains treatment 2 nights ago. Me and stains just do not get on and I think I've overdone it, lol! Yours is perfect colouration imo! I shall persevere with mine when I find a suitable image ;D.

Have a fab time at your JoFY class. Would love to be doing that one.

  20. They look so fabulous, Brenda - lovely to see them in their finished state... I love the Stair Builders ephemera, and if Astrid is right about this being the young Stalin, I think it puts him in his place brilliantly!
Hope you have a great time with Jo and the Frescos.

  26. Oh Brenda, I don't know how I managed to miss this one, always running behind myself that's me at the moment.... Absolutely love how you have finished this, both sides look stunning and I love the brightness of the colours you have used. I see the lovely Alison has crushed your stair maker etc dream already by revealing the truth about this handsome young man..... I think it's quite funny really that three of us have used him on this journal....
