My classes available are -

17th January Vintage tag
Use some great texture effects to create a tag.  Learn how to use foil tape sheets to alter a surface and give it a cool industrial faux riveted look. We will make a tag that can kept as an aide memoire for this technique, it can be given to someone as it is or it can be mounted onto a 5" x 7" card if you would like send it as a greeting card. If you have a small old key, a dip pen nib and an old torch bulb or something similar please bring these along to use as embellishments, but don’t worry if you haven’t got these as we will have other things available.

6th February 10 - 12.30  Shabby Chic cards
Create a set of 3/4 shabby chic cards that can be kept in a box to use as a notelet or for that last minute 'Thank You' or greeting card.

12th February 10 - 12.30 Shabby Vintage Shadow Box card
Using Brenda's template create a shadow box to embellish and add to a card to send to a friend. We will use distress inks and diecuts to create a shabby vintage design.

2nd March 10 - 12.30 Altered Domino Book date changed to the 6th April
Do you like altered art? In this workshop change two dominoes (yes the ones you would use to play the game with) into a small book. We will use alcohol inks, distress inks and stamps and small charms to embellish it. (Please note we will be working with small pieces to create this).

16th March 10 - 1.00  Altered box with a drawer compartment
Altered book drawer. Use a paper mache 'look alike book' that has a secret drawer and turn it into a special place to hold memorabilia. We will use acrylic paint, tissue paper, stamps and distress inks.

4th April  10 - 12.30  Collage card
If you like using torn strips of paper along with die cut pieces of card and adding an image and other small embellishments to make a collage then this class could be the one for you. We will stamp with inks and paint and use textured cardstock to make a vintage style card.

Brenda’s New Workshops  Summer 2013

Dates to be announced

1. Using a new range of stamps to The Art of Craft from Crafty Individuals you will make a man’s card using a lovely bird image. The finished piece will include layers and textures and a hidden Birthday sentiment. We will use distress inks to paint the stamped image.

2. Would you like to use an MDF collection box, (which can be made up similarly to a configurations box), to create a pretty, feminine project in a shabby chic style? This will include using papers, die-cuts, lace, flowers and metal charms – lots of pretty items to have fun with.

3. Sometimes alcohol inks can sit at the back of the cupboard and get forgotten about. Come and learn a few ways that you can use alcohol inks in your card making and other art projects and take a tag home using one of the techniques.

4. Continuing with the new Crafty Individuals stamp range we will create a vintage ladies card with die-cuts, flowers and butterflies. A perfect card for a special friend.

5. By special request this workshop will focus on making a tag with a Victorian (Steampunk) male theme that can then be made into a card if you so wish. We will use the emboss resist technique using distress inks and add embellishments and tickets to complete it.

6. How about a vintage shabby chic pocket card that can be used for a special greeting or made into a little gift? Using a flourish stamp, distress inks and papers in vintage blues and beige you will create a card to hold two tags that can be a greeting for a friend, messages for a special occasion or photos that can be given  to someone as an unusual gift.

7. Another lovely card using the wonderful Crafty Individual stamps this time with a summer theme. If you have a summer birthday coming up then this is the one for you. We will use distress inks and the spritz and flick technique with beach stamps to create a warm summery background and a focal image mounted on muslin.
